University of Maine at Augusta

Guilford Site of the ITV Network

Looking for a convenient way to earn your degree? University of Maine System offers access to quality public higher education.  Courses use the Web, interactive television (ITV) and other delivery methods to bring classes to you anytime, anywhere. ITV classes are broadcast live by faculty to the Guilford site at PCHS. The ITV system uses one-way video and two-way audio, maintaining human interaction which is so critical to the learning process. You participate in your class by calling toll-free into the broadcast classroom. A typical class is broadcast to 30-40 locations.  Please come in to pick up a brochure or log onto www.learn.maine.edu for more information.  The Guilford site offers a portable classroom for ITV Classes, computers for UMS online courses, and a drop-off site for interlibrary loans.  Fees are determined by the University broadcasting the course. Call Merlene Sanborn at PHEC at 564-2942 for more information.
